Craftmatic Prices
Posted on April 26, 2010
I have back problems and, as of late, been looking for ways to help alleviate my issues. Went to the doctor and physical therapists to see what could be done and they both suggested for me to change my crappy bed mattress. I started looking at adjustable beds and eventually try the Craftmatic brands of beds. Let me say, it’s not a horrible bed from a quality standpoint but I’m not going to be buying one and here’s why.
The Craftmatic adjustable beds are kind of no thrill affairs. They’re nothing special to look at, and the bed makes a bit of noise. It seems that being as old as a brand as it is, Craftmatic hasn’t kept up on the trends of other adjustable beds. The mattress is soft and the bed is very adjustable just as the sales representatives say. The biggest problem I have with them is Craftmatic’s customer service. In fact, there isn’t much service there which can be frustrating for a consumer.
Another thing that is a red flag for me is the price. Craftmatic prices are crazy. Buying one will require you to have to spend at least $4,000 on a single bed. This is twice as much as other adjustable beds such as Tempur-Pedic and Sleep Comfort, not a great fact for Craftmatic which appears to be a lesser product. With that in mind, if you’re like me, the Craftmatic is something that can be passed on. I’ll be looking elsewhere for my adjustable bed needs.

How to Get Rid of Yellow Headlights and Remove the Haze
Posted on April 12, 2010
Many headlights are made of polycarbonate and unfortunately tend to yellow and get a hazy look to them do to exposure to sunlight. Not only can this be bad from an appearance standpoint, but it can also lessen the effectiveness of your headlights, which isn’t desirable for night drivers. Luckily, this is correctable with a little work on your part.
Per usual, the first thing that anyone must do before a restoration is clean the car. The whole car doesn’t need to be cleaned but make sure that the headlights get wet and scrubbed. Now bust out the sandpaper. If you do a lot of car work, I highly suggest saving some money and buying sandpaper in bulk since you’ll need it often and it’s cheaper this way. Start sanding at about 400 grit and move up sequentially (600, 800, 1000, etc) to about 2000 grit until the haze is gone.
Another option for cloudy headlights is surprisingly white toothpaste. Get a power drill buffer, if you don’t have one go buy one as they’re super handy, spread some white toothpaste on and buff it into the headlight. Really that’s all that needs to be done. By time you’re done sanding or buffing with toothpaste, you should have much cleaner and clearer headlights at your disposal.
